drakulinaParticipantIn the facebook group i proposed several feature. For example, being ethos a layout more blog oriented it would be great to hae something to be organized as a pure magazine theme, organizing not only one category or all of them in one page but also giving a real magazine structure dividing the different sectiosn of the website with different topics with different styles based on the importance you would like to give to that category.
something like : newspaper 7 theme https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609?s_rank=1
woohoo https://themeforest.net/item/woohoo-modish-news-magazine-and-blog-theme/13570398?s_rank=1
or sahifa https://themeforest.net/item/sahifa-responsive-wordpress-news-magazine-newspaper-theme/2819356?s_rank=1do you think it would be a possible feature? ethos is really too simple to allow a proper organized structure in a blog with tons of different content.
please let me know.

ChristianModeratorHey there,
Thank you for your feedback. I’ll forward this as feature request. We could not guarantee or promise that this will be implemented in Ethos however. But, our designers and developers might create a new designed Stack in the future.

Adam BreenParticipantLike you, we have been investing in X-Theme due to its flexibility. Unfortunately, Ethos doesn’t cut it as a real magazine theme, and I agree that it would be worthy for Themeco to give this some attention.
In the meantime, rather than compromise on using X-Theme we’ve done a bunch of investigation into how to make it do what we want.
Two plugins that we are utilising are Newscodes and WP Pro Advertising
– https://codecanyon.net/item/newscodes-news-magazine-and-blog-elements-for-wordpress/14714969?s_rank=1
– https://codecanyon.net/item/wp-pro-advertising-system-all-in-one-ad-manager/269693?s_rank=10Still getting them configured, but at first test run they appear to give us far more sophistication than an off the rack theme like Newspaper, and with a little tweaking we’re confident we’re going to get the best of both worlds.

RupokMemberHi guys,
Thanks for your valuable input. We certainly appreciate the feedback! This is something we can add to our list of feature requests. This way it can be taken into consideration for future development. All of these items are discussed with our team internally and prioritized based on the amount of interest a particular feature might receive. Thanks!
