The site has been deployed to the client for months. She doesn’t touch the slider and she called me and said her slider is no longer showing on her home page. I verified it is not showing. The slider has not been touched. Her site and slider plugin have been updated. I assume one of the updates caused it to stop working???

X Theme Version: 4.6.4 (also broken on 4.6.2 so updated)
    Cornerstone: 1.3.3
    Responsive Slider: 5.3.0.2
    WP: 4.6.1

Attached what the slider should resemble.

    Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! Are you using CloudFlare or may have installed a caching plugin like WordFence, W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache? Please keep in mind that after doing every updates, always remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

I did some further investigation. I noticed that you are using PHP version 5.4.19 and WordPress 4.5 requires at least 5.6 (https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/). This could possibly be the cause of the issue. In most cases you cannot update your PHP version yourself and need to contact your host about this. The upgrade process is an easy process and should be something your host can do for you without affecting your website or charging you for it. Here’s a letter you can send to your hosting company:

    Dear host,

I\'m interested in running the open-source WordPress <https://wordpress.org/> web software and
I was wondering if my account supported the following:

    - PHP 5.6 or greater
    - MySQL 5.6 or greater
    - The mod_rewrite Apache module

    Looking forward to your reply.

Hope this helps. Kindly let us know.

When you say clear your cache, do you just mean our browser cache? We don’t use any caching plugins. Also, what do you see where the slide would be on the homepage?

Also, this is a shared Godaddy hosted account. The same plan offers two other sites with Slider Revolution. All of them work. This is why I reached out to the theme support. Your theme is the only one that broke with the recentmost theme or plugin update.

That would imply its not caused by the outdated PHP version, which Godaddy says they can’t increase higher on the current plan.

    Hi There,

Your slider revolution is working on my end. See image attached.

Can you clean your cache and test it again?

In case that does not work, we do know there is a bug that is hapenning in a few isolated installations which themepunch is working on. To solve that quickly you can downgrade your Slider Rev. by access your site via ftp going to wp-content/plugins/ and remove RevSlider folder and substitue for the one containing on the folder from the link below:

    Hope that helps
