melissa3764ParticipantHello,
After updated to the latest theme version of 4.6.1 today, my site continues to function for brief periods of time, but then inevitably crashes saying “internal server error.” I have been in contact multiple times with GoDaddy today trying to correct the issue, and from what we have been able to find, the theme is rewriting the htaccess file. Usage is jumping from 110 KB to 4200 KB and is rendering the website unusable.
WordPress 4.5.3
Cornerstone Version 1.3.0Please please fix ASAP!! GoDaddy uploaded a fresh htaccess file and the site is temporarily working again, but I don’t know for how long this time.

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Your site is displaying fine on my end, please see the attachment.
In regards with cornerstone, please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.Hope it helps.

melissa3764ParticipantYes it displays fine for a limited amount of time, and then the error repeats. During all the research with the help of GoDaddy yesterday, it was found that the htaccess file was being rewritten by the theme and causing the error to repeat.
I have tried deactivating every single 3rd party plugin, cleared all cookies, and flushed the cache, and have attached a screen shot of how cornerstone is still displaying.
Please help

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for the updates! I did some further investigation. I noticed that you are using PHP version 5.4.42 and MySQL 5.5.43. Please be advised that WordPress 4.5 requires at least 5.6 (https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/). This could possibly be the cause of the issue. In most cases you cannot update your PHP version yourself and need to contact your host about this. The upgrade process is an easy process and should be something your host can do for you without affecting your website or charging you for it. Here’s a letter you can send to your hosting company:
Dear host, I\'m interested in running the open-source WordPress <https://wordpress.org/> web software and I was wondering if my account supported the following: - PHP 5.6 or greater - MySQL 5.6 or greater - The mod_rewrite Apache module Looking forward to your reply.Hope this helps. Kindly let us know.
