Hi,

I have a potential client who is a photographer.

I’m curious to know what you guys recommend for a responsive gallery plugin.

Typically the user would be able to bulk upload images into a gallery and use a shortcode to paste into content which provides thumbnails that are clickable and presents a lightbox.

Any other suggestions of how to go about this or workflows is welcome. I was thinking about using essential grid or the grid, but these plugins/solutions don’t necessarily make it easy to upload media in bulk or can it? If so, I wouldn’t mind using ess. grid.

While we have not tested extensively with X, you should give “NextGen Gallery” a try. I think that would be the best suit as per your requirement.

Thanks Rahul. I’ll check that out, but I think I found a way to accomplish this quite easily using a plugin in conjunction with Ess Grid.

This allows you to bulk upload images and have them automatically turn each image into a post – you can specify category, post type, etc. Because Essential Grid is so robust and has custom meta tags, built-in lightbox and a tile designer, this will be a simple and flexible method that will suffice for me 🙂
