    Hi

    Is it possible to modify the recent posts shortcode to display the first content image if there’s no featured image? I have it so it shows custom post types from this thread https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/recent-posts-widget-to-show-custom-post-types/

    But this doesn’t display an image because I chose not to have a featured image in my custom post type. How would you modify it to show the first content image instead?

    Hi There,

    Thanks for writing in! Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities.
