    Good afternoon!

    I would like to customize my “Recent Posts” short-code in the Ethos theme to mimic the style used in this site: http://www.nationalreview.com/

    1. I would like the thumbnail image to be displayed as a square instead of a rectangle, with no white border around it.
    2. I would like the text to be white on a transparent black bar.
    3. I would like to have the little colored bar pop up over the image when I hover over it.

    I apologize if this is beyond the scope of support, but are any of these possible?

    Hi There,

    Have you considered using The Grid Plugin? It comes bundled with X and can give you very similar effect.

    Have a look on the options available.
