codevanillaParticipantHi Guys
I know this topic has been round the houses and there has been some helpful responses, but I’m still hoping for a bit of help. The customisation of the homepage leads most of us to the shortcode, but it seems really odd that it doesn’t return the formatting in the standard way.
I have copied the code from this post into my child-theme functions and used the shortcode in a static front page.
- It works
, but my questions relate to the formatting of the posts, which I can see is included in the shortcode function.
What I was hoping to bottom out, is if there was way of displaying each post as it would be displayed in the category archive sections, which might include background images and other post specific settings. eg see attached from your demo
So rather than manually doing the layout in the function we would refer to the post type and get the post laid out as it should be. I thought this code below might do it, but it does something a bit different. Is there a x_get_post version (clearly named something else since I can’t find it!)
`x_get_view( ‘ethos’, ‘content’, get_post_format()’
Any insights would be really appreciated.
Thanks

ChristianModeratorHey there,
Regretfully, this particular customization request is outside the scope of our support as this is not related to an issue with the theme and instead has to do with your customization of it. As such, you will need to investigate this particular issue on your own or seek help from a developer should you not feel comfortable making these changes yourself. If you have any further questions about the theme, we are more than happy to provide you with assistance on these inquiries.
Thank you for your understanding.
