I have followed all of the recommendations in the following post to get the excerpt to show up in the recent posts shortcode but have had no luck:

Thank you for responding – I tried the recommendations from that post and still no resolution.

I am also having issues with feature image resizing and removing from the top of the page on the actual post. Everything I am trying from previous post resolutions aren’t working – maybe someone can login and take a look?

Alright so I managed to figure the feature image issues – however I am still unable to display excerpts

Make sure to add enable_excerpt=”true” like :

[recent_posts enable_excerpt="true" type="post" orientation="vertical"]

Hi there,

It’s still inaccessible, if it’s up on your end then it’s probably some security setup that blocking us accessing it. Please disable any security plugin like Wordfence, or host specific security while we’re testing.
