    Hi there,
I am currently using this website ” http://demo.theme.co/renew-1/shortcodes/recent-posts/ ” to help me with the recent posts. Just wondering how would I do one big post at the top and 4 small ones below it.

like: [recent_posts count=”1″ orientation=”horizontal”] [recent_posts count=”2″ orientation=”horizontal” offset=”1″] (has one big recent post at the top with 2 smaller ones)
but I want one big recent post at the top, with 2 below that, as well as another 2 below that, so that the total recent posts being shown is 5. Or how would I adjust it so that it shows 7 or 9 etc?
    Thanks 🙂

    Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! You need to place two different Recent Posts element within separate ROW.
For the first one; set the count to 1. And for the second element; set offset 1 so that it will skip the first post that’s already shown on first element.

    Hope this makes sense.

    Cheers!

Sorry I still don’t understand it. I played around with it a bit but some posts get sorta reposted.
Could you give me an example for modifying this:
“[recent_posts count=”1″ orientation=”horizontal”] [recent_posts count=”2″ orientation=”horizontal” offset=”1″]” such that there is one big post at the top layer, 2 in the middle layer and 2 on bottom layer.
    Thanks!

    Hi There,

If you are using Cornerstone you can also use Recent Posts Element.

If you prefer shortcodes please use the following:

    [recent_posts count="1" orientation="horizontal" ]
    [recent_posts count="2" orientation="horizontal" offset="1"]
    [recent_posts count="2" orientation="horizontal" offset="3"]

Let us know how it goes,

    Joao
