Hello,

if i switch the language (i’m using WPML plugin) the recent posts aren’t shown on the homepage anymore. The site should be in german and in english. The german posts won’t be translated but should be shown on the “english” site, too. I used the same shortcut for the english home as for the german one. ([recent_posts count=”2″ no_image=”true” orientation=”vertical”])

What did i do wrong?

There will only be posts available in german. They will not be translatet but should be visible on english version of the site, too. Is it possible?

Hi Marco,

Thanks for writing back. I am not really sure if this is a feature of WPML or could be possible or not but it sounds unusual to me as it not supposed to show on English site. You can follow their documentation for more information as we can’t assist on third party plugins.

Hello,

we decided to translate the german posts, so that we can provide the news in english.
Now i have an other problem. Post that i create in english are only shown on the english
version of the site, not on the german one. But on the other hand, the german posts are
also shown on the english news page.

did i make a mistake?

Hello Marco,

I found out that the option at WPML > Languages > “Blog posts to display” was configured to show all posts. If you change this configuration to “Only translated posts” then the German posts won’t show up on the English news page.
