365SussexParticipantI am experimenting with the recent post element and although there is a switch for ignore sticky post on or off it does not appear to work. Also looking at the shortcode there is no mention of sticky post being supported. Is there a way of getting sticky post support into recent post element so that sticky post always appears as most recent or in first slot…

RupokMemberHi,
There is an option in Cornerstone element to ignore sticky posts which should work fine .However you can follow this if you are using shortcode – https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/sticky-post-in-recent-posts-shortcode/#post-239741
Hope this helps.
Cheers!

c1sParticipantHi, same here, the “sticky posts” switch doesn’t work!
Unfortunately, the code for the functions.php is not helpful, because i am using various different recent posts elements, one of which is working for the sticky posts…

c1sParticipantHi,
I’m not using the code from https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/sticky-post-in-recent-posts-shortcode/#post-239741 because it would prevent showing sticky posts at all.
However, I have got several three “recent posts” areas, in which the top one should show the sticky posts, and the two areas below shouldn’t. Please see picture attached.
I had to create a new category called “Urlaub” (=holiday) and solve the problem with filtering categories. However, I would much rather prefer to have the sticky posts working.

ChristianModeratorHey there,
The Ignore Sticky Posts option is working on my test site and it looks like it is working on your end too. If you want to show the sticky post only though, what you did is the trick. There is currently no other workaround for this but modifying the Recent Posts functionality which is outside the scope of our support. I’ll forward your concern as feature request though and our core developers might implement a feature in the future.
Thanks.

RadModeratorHi there,
I assume that you’re referring to the two posts at the bottom. I checked and yes, sticky posts are still displaying, though, I can’t replicate it on my own installation. This could be specific to your site, would you mind providing your FTP login credentials too?
Thanks!

LelyModeratorHi There,
Unfortunately, I am getting Connection timeout error. See attached screenshot. I tried logging using Filezilla and and Winscp but both failed to login. Would you mind switching from your child theme to main X theme. Then if you do have caching plugin, purge/delete cache before checking again. This is just to check that this issue is not a result of any customization since it is working on our test sites. Do let us know how this goes.

FriechModeratorHi There,
I’ve made Lely’s reply public and remove the attach screenshot for security purposes. The thing is we can not login on your site server with the FTP credentials you provided above. Please confirm.
Thanks.
