I built a website as a development site which I now need to transfer to the production site. However, I don’t have access to the clients web hosting or cPanel. What is the process that they would need to do to transfer everything from the development site on their end to update their current site with the new site I just built? Can their hosting provider update the necessary files? Do I have to update anything to move the development site to production site? I already set up the domains(production and development) prior to building the website.
Thanks!

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in! Just for future topics, self responding or bumping your post pushes it back in our Queue system so it takes longer to respond to.
To transfer one installation to another like moving a new site from dev site to production site, please follow some detailed instructions from our knowledge base here: https://community.theme.co/kb/cornerstone-migration/
Hope this helps.
October 2, 2016 at 8:39 pm #1199890Great, thanks! And sorry about bumping it…I have to get this site up and running ASAP. Do I also have to update the URL’s under Settings -> General -> WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) from the development site address to the domain name that it’s migrating to or will the migration process handle that?
Thanks!

RadModeratorHi there,
You can try All in one migration plugin and it will process all URLs and settings accordingly. This plugin should be installed on both the original and the destination sites. It will then overwrite the destination site once you import it.
Thanks!
