Hey,

I have a blog set up on my site.

The problem is, I am designing a new website for an organisation, who already has their own blog.

However, because we are using a new domain, we don’t have any of the previous blogs on the new website.

This is a problem because I want to sort the blog posts according to the time posted (with newest post at the top), but I can’t do this because the time the blog was posted would show up as 2016. I want blog posts with date published as 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, etc. (going back in time!)

In other words, I can’t just post the blogs one by one on the new site because I’m going to have the post meta info displayed, which it will show up as 2016. I need the dates stored as 2014 for some of the blog posts.

Is it possible to manually customise the time blog was posted to whichever date i want, or is there a way to somehow port the blog posts from the old (currently running site) to the new site?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,

Thanks for witting in! If your previous site is still active, you can just export the posts from Tools > Export and import to your new site. Then it will be on original date it was posted.

However if you don’t have the previous site and newly creating the posts, then you can manually edit the date from “Publish” option – http://prntscr.com/c8itoj
