X child theme renew on 4.4.2
woocommerce 2.5.5Hello there,
few x-theme releases behind, I was suggested from the support, in order to fix some problems occurred on my web site, to disable the jetpack module.
Today I try to reactivate it because I needed that function, but I am not able to have it work.
Any other issue or it is just me ?
Thanks for the help.
Best regards,
Roberto

RadModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in.
Which is not working? The jetpack or cornerstone? Would you mind providing your site’s admin login credentials in private reply? I love to check it too 🙂
Thanks!

194rocParticipantHi Rad,
thanks for the answer !
Reading what I wrote I realize it wasn’t that clear…
It seems to me that Jetpack and cornerstone are both working fine but if I make the jetpack module publicize active, on the product edit page I got the publicize options, but they can’t be selected.
A picture is 1000 word worth..!!
http://prntscr.com/at9pfvSo at this time I am leaving the jetpack publicize module active and wait for your answer.
Digging around it looks like, that from a certain version of woo commerce the publicize module is included in the plugin “out of the box”, and I can’t find it unless I do not made active the jetpack plugin that I deactivated few month ago since there was a conflict problem with cornerstone.
Thank you very much,
Roberto

194rocParticipantCancel the last….!!!!
I just found out that if I create a brand new product the module is active and working. I haven’t yet test if there is any conflict with the module and others plugin.
But then, is there a chance to select some product and publicize them with some sort of workaround ?
Sorry for the mistake.
Thanks,
Roberto

RadModeratorHi Roberto,
Unfortunately, we’re not sure how Jetpack’s Publicize internally works. I’m not sure if it’s a bug or intended feature to only allow newly added product. It’s best to contact the plugin author as they are more familiar with it.
Thanks for understanding.

194rocParticipantYes I agree but let me ask a further question, that being so personal I do not find useful for the forum.
It is not definitively the scope of support but I need to understand how the demo contents work.
At this time I manage the site http://www.castello.it (Actual) and the site www2.castello.it (Production) and bought two different license for each one.
I was thinking about to switch between the two, but then I realized that was a pain to export all the stuff coherently from site A to site P. I am talking about orders, customer, products, not to mention all the plugin ecommerce related…ecc.ecc..
So I was wondering, being the site P a renew child theme, same as site A, could I import the demo contents in the site A without overwriting a things and then, prepare each single page for the switch ?
Thanks for your attention.

JadeModeratorHi Roberto,
Yes, you may install the demo content in the production site is but please note that although importing the demo content will not alter any of your pages or posts, it will overwrite your Customizer settings. So kindly make sure to make a backup of your current customizer settings or the entire site before making any changes.
