jcmckay3ParticipantHi there!
I’m looking to create a “member’s only” section of my website that happens to be a bbPress forum. I can’t seem to find a solution to this. I want to have this section only available to users that are logged in. I also have disabled registration because I’d like to control who has memberships. Finally, I would like any user that isn’t logged in to be re-directed to a signup page with benefits of becoming a member. That page would then offer ways to contact my company directly and also provide a sign-in for existing users. I want full control over the memberships, creating and sending out Usernames and Passwords, along with a private community forum that non-members do not have visibility to. I need non-members re-directed to a more-information style page.
I’ve searched high and low, implemented plug-in after plug-in, including s2member (no good), Theme-My-Login (working for login), PaidMembershipsPro (no good), Members (no good), and many other membership plug-ins. Is this simply possible to do with X Theme? I’ve done all the web research I can prior to submitting this and can’t figure it out.I also read your blog post on “Setting Up A Member Page with X Theme”. It isn’t accomplishing what I need.
I’m striking out. Any help would be great.
Thanks!

ChristianModeratorHey Boomer,
Thanks for writing in! Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities. Thanks for understanding. Take care!

jcmckay3ParticipantAre you able to point me in the right direction of a developer? And/or tell me what theme.co is using for their member protected forums?

LelyModeratorHi There,
We’re using bbPress on this forum. If you’re looking for a developer, you can post some inquiry on X Facebook group. There are members there that are offering services. Please just note that we are not affiliated with them.
Hope this helps.
