    Hi,
We did a restore of the site and now I need to update the components that are no longer current due to the older date of the restore.
As a general best practice should I update WordPress before updating X, then update X before updating Cornerstone?
    With the restore, we’re currently running WordPress 4.6.1, X 4.4.2, Cornerstone 1.3.0
Whereas the most current versions available for each are WordPress 4.7, X 4.6.4, Cornerstone 1.3.3

    Hello There,

    Thanks for writing in!

As a general thumb rule, we recommend you to take a complete backup of your website before updating. Once you have the backup ready go ahead and update plugins first. After you have updated plugins check if the website is working fine or not. If everything is working fine then you should update X Theme and repeat the previous step i.e test the website. Once you have updated plugins and X Theme, then you should update WordPress.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks.
