    I tried all the solutions offered several months ago to update and got nowhere.

    Product is validated, but I get an error saying product needs to be validated. Please see screen shots.

    I greatly appreciate any help. As it stands now, my version is so old, visual composer doesn’t work and I have no way to really edit my pages.

    Hey There,

    You can update your theme via FTP this one time and it should work for all the future updates : https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/

    Please don’t forget to take a full backup of your site before updating the theme.

    Hi There,

    Please follow this instructions

    1. Revoke your API key from X Addons section (check the bottom of the page) and also remove it from your license page on Themeco.

    https://community.theme.co/my-licenses/

    2. Temporary disable any caching plugins and purge all your server cache.

    3. Delete both X theme (/wp-content/themes/x) and Cornerstone plugin (/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone) by connecting to your FTP (your settings will be saved in the database)

    4. Download the latest copy of X and upload it to your themes folder via FTP OR you can upload the x.zip via Appearance -> Themes section.

    5. Latest version of Cornerstone will be installed automatically when you head over X Addons section. Now you try validating your X theme again and then try to install any other extension and it should function properly.

    Hi there,

    You can use a FTP client software (FileZilla client) to connect to your server and then upload your files (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7lVEx2aIPc).

    Then follow our manual update guide here (https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/).

    Please take a full backup of your site before updating.

    Hi there,

    Regretfully, this would be outside the scope of support that we can offer. However, can you please contact your hosting provider and ask them to take full backup of your current site? so that we can update the site for you and also you can rollback to the earlier version if something goes wrong during the update.

    Hi Fred

    I have updated your Theme to the version 4.5.1 (Actually 4.5.2 is the latest, but as soon as you managed to activate it you will be able to do the upgrade right away)

    Please do the following:

    1] Please login to your account and revoke the license. https://community.theme.co/my-account/
    2] After you have revoke the license, you need to re assign the license again to your site using this url: https://www.your-domain.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
    3] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license again.

    Cornerstone should install automatically, and a soon as Cornerstone is activated your website should look just like before.
