feelandlookbetterParticipantHi, I had problems updating my x theme and had to restore from backup to be able to have my website functioning again.
Initially, I couldn’t automatically update and, after exploring help pages, found out that I had to reassign my site URL from its initial staging site to my live site. Once I unassigned and reassigned the URL, I was able to update the theme and all the plugins. However, it resulted in two major problems that forced me to restore my site from a previous backup:
1. The revolution slider on my start page disappeared and only the script from it showed. When I tried to check my Revolution Slider settings, I found that the entire plugin had disappeared! The slider was created by a professional who helped me with a few things, so I have no idea how it works. Trying to minimise further expenses as I’ve already gone far above budget to date…
2. When I checked my site on my mobile phone, the navigation button (to show the menu) was completely unresponsive.
The site is functioning with the old version but I’d prefer to bring everything up to date. I’m fairly inexperienced with wordpress and themes and would appreciate any help/advice you can offer – thanks.
