twopianistsParticipantAfter the recent updates one of our sites has been behaving erratically. (ninaandluis.com)
The revolution slider does not load, the video containers do not display the link.
Tried to re-do the containers and slider but the problem persists. Could you please assist?September 30, 2016 at 12:36 am #1196916
FriechModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing in! Saw some syntax error on the console cause by a minified cache. Please clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
And can you check your homepage Cornerstone > Settings > Custom CSS. And see if you place a JavaScript on it? If so please move it to a custom JavaScript field.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.

twopianistsParticipantHi,
No JavaScript on custom CSS and also cleared all caches. The problem still persists.
What elso do you suggest?September 30, 2016 at 2:46 am #1197009
RupokMemberHi there,
It seems you are using a plugin to minify the scripts and stylesheets that’s breaking some scripts. X already serve the scripts in minified format so you don’t need to use such plugin. Kindly disable if you have such plugin and check again clearing the cache.
Let us know how it goes.

twopianistsParticipantYet another update issue with cornerstone and theme x on our site: ninaandluis.com
The slider revolution is not showing and some images from the blog posts also not displaying. Could you please advise on what was changed in the last update?
Many thanks.October 25, 2016 at 3:08 am #1229467

RahulModeratorHey There,
Thanks for writing back!
There’s a known bug in the newer version of revslider. The same issue has occurred to many of our users who have updated their revslider plugin to Version 5.3.0.1. Kindly install the previous edition back and everything will work fine.
We’ve already submitted this to our developers’ team for further review.
Thanks for your patience!
October 26, 2016 at 12:42 pm #1231912
twopianistsParticipantDoes the same apply to the featured image on blog posts not showing?
October 26, 2016 at 12:45 pm #1231916
twopianistsParticipantFurthermore there are a lot of more inconsistencies on the image loading on mobile devices. Images and thumbnails not displaying properly. This surely is not due to revolution slider?

JoaoModeratorHi There,
There is a new version of Revolution out, please update.
It should not affect your featured images anyway…
Would mind adding this in your wp-config.php located at the root directory of your site.
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' ); define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );You can add it before the line
/* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */
Here you have a video tutorial in any case:
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks
October 27, 2016 at 12:21 am #1232664
twopianistsParticipantThank you.
The memory limits were already on the wp-config. Updated the rev slider but the problem still persists. Now there are several images on the page that do not display besides the featured images as mentioned before. When editing in cornerstone all images appear, even though the rev slider image doesn’t….
To try out i deactivated W3 Total Cache but problem still persists.
I am getting no where. Please assist.October 27, 2016 at 1:24 am #1232707
Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for updating in! Your images do not display because it turns out that you are using Jetpack and Photon module is enabled. Photon will cached all your images and sometimes it has some problems loading the images. One of the limitations of photons:
No cache invalidations – currently the images are cached “forever”. If you want to “refresh” an image you will need to change the name of the image. Adding random query arguments, commonly known as cachebusters, will not work. For further information, you can check it here: https://developer.wordpress.com/docs/photon/
For the time being, please disable Photon module and test your site again.
