    Hi
    I love X. It’s really cool theme.
    I have some trouble with setup x-child theme.
    I create my home page with cornerstone.
    Here it:

    x theme

    But when I activated x-chiled theme, it became this:

    x-child

    All site crash.
    Why it so?

    I use X-Theme 4.4.1
    X-Child Theme 1.0.0
    Cornestone 1.2.2

    Hey there,

    Can you copy your site over to a development server and enable the child theme there then give us access to WordPress admin so we could investigate.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for updating. It’s a better practice to use a staging/development server/site where you can actually develop your site and fix the issues (if any raise) and then move to your live server when it’s done. It will help to avoid any downtime issue for your users on your live site as you might face issue while developing.

    A staging site could be a subdomain of your original site (i.e. staging.firstvideoseo.com) where you can experiment before proceeding on your original site.

    Hi there,

    Please export customizer settings before activating child theme. After activating child theme, import customizer settings.

    I did it with Customizer Export/Import plugin.
    But it didn’t help me 🙁

    Hi there,

    Please update your theme.

    After activating child theme, you just need to add footer widgets, the other settings are the same. See the attachment.
