LiamHindsonParticipantHi,
I’m having trouble with the jQuery in my site teachtutti.com.
The first time I load the website, anything that’s controlled by jQuery won’t respond e.g. the accordion on the home page.
These functions work correctly after I reload the page. Do you know how to fix this?
Thanks,
Liam

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!October 14, 2016 at 5:46 am #1215995
LiamHindsonParticipantHi,
I’ve gone through the plugins and it seems to be ‘GP Limit Dates’. This is a sub-plugin from the plugin ‘Gravity Perks’, which provides additions to the Gravity Forms plugin. I didn’t test them but I do have 2 more of these perks listed as plugins, as well as the ‘Gravity Perks’ plugin.
Do you have any suggestions for how to resolve this conflict?
Thanks,
Liam

LiamHindsonParticipantOne more thing, this problem seems to only be on the Google Chrome browser. I tested it on Safari and the jQuery worked fine after clearing the history and clearing every cache.
Thanks,
Liam

JoaoModeratorHi Liam,
If the problem is being generated by a third party plugin you need to contact the plugin provider.
Let us know if we can help with anything else.

LiamHindsonParticipantHi Joao,
Thanks for this.
I made a mistake in saying that it was a fault of a plugin. I’ve talked with the creator of Gravity Perks and he has confirmed that the error is not due to his plugin. I then deactivated all the plugins again and cleared the cache and my browsing history. The jQuery remains unresponsive on the first loading of the page.
This isn’t the fault of a plugin. I have also tested the initial loading of jQuery on different pages and it remains unresponsive, so it isn’t a problem with my coding.
