nihonjinParticipantHi Themeco,
I am looking for a solution for a client that has an X Theme site. They would like their customers to be able to print out pages of the site and have the printouts ACTUALLY look like the site.
X Theme Version 4.6.2
WP Version 4.6.1
Cornerstone Version 1.3.3I DID add the below to the Custom CSS:
@media print {
a[href]:after {
content: none !important;
}
}This got me PARTWAY through the print issues. HOWEVER:
(1) Because of the print width, the print preview defaults to the responsive CSS and has a different layout (i.e. the mobile layout…see attached image). How can we get the printout to look like the full desktop version of the site?
(2) I would like it to print the images (revolution slider, and the blog thumbs at the bottom). If the revolution slider cannot print, I would either like to:
(a) suppress it so that the huge space gap does not appear
or
(b) replace that gap with a picture on the server
Any ideas? All thoughts would be appreciated. I tried a couple of plugins (WP-Print and
Print Friendly and PDF), and these were no help.Thanks,

JoaoModeratorHi Erik,
Please Try Google Chrome Addon ” Full Page Screen Capture”
Hope that helps

nihonjinParticipantHi Joao,
Thanks for your response. I do know how to capture my screen in a couple of different ways (Mac Shift-Option-3 takes the full screenshot, and Shift-Option-4 allows me to select what I capture).
Unfortunately, this does not solve the issue for my client’s customers who want to print the website at http://www.gansink.com. This is about print CSS for third-parties who view the site, not for me.
Could you please take a look at my post (#1262860) and let me know any solutions you can think of?
If the screenshot attached there confuses in any way, here is a full screenshot of the same page I am attempting to print. Notice the page behind the print screen has a significantly different layout from what would come out of a printer. I want these two to be the SAME.
Thanks,

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Most modern browsers follows the css print media settings. To be able to print the actual website, you must make it first as a pdf and then print using the pdf format. Please check this out on how to create a pdf out of a website:
http://www.lenashore.com/2012/12/how-to-make-a-pdf-of-an-entire-website/As an alternative, you can check this out: https://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-capture-an-entire-web-page-as-an-image-or-pdf/
Hope this helps.
