    Hi,

I’m having a post category problem. Posts are appearing on the category page (and recent posts widget) that are not assigned to that particular category.

For example, posts that are not assigned to the “News” category are appearing on the “News” category archive page (and on a widget with the category “news”).

Here’s one such post that is not assigned to the News category:

Here’s the News category archive page showing that post: http://travelstudies.org/category/news/

By the way, if it’s relevant, “News” is the default category.

Can you look into this? Thanks.

    Hi,

I figured out what was causing the problem. A post in the Child Category was also showing in the Parent Category Archive as well. Apparently that’s how WordPress is set up, as discussed here:

    https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/stop-child-category-pages-showing-in-parent-category-archive/

Sorry I didn’t realize this before. Thanks again for your help.

    Thanks for choosing the X-theme!
