I’ve set up a Posts Page per instructions called News & Information for norfolkambulance.com. Under General->Reading, I set News & Information to be the Posts Page. When a post is displayed, it just contains the contents of the Post. On another site I have, which I set up the same way, it displays the current post as well as a list of Recent Posts. What have I done wrong? Thanks, Christopher (Creds in next post)

Setting a post page via Settings > Reading will just set the page you have chosen to display all your post or become your blog index page. When you said “When a post is displayed“, are you referring to single post page or the default blog index page? Please clarify what you want to achieve on specific page by giving us sample URL or screenshots. In case you want to add recent post, feel free to use recent post element:http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/1/shortcodes/recent-posts/Hope this helps.
I would like my posts to display like this with Recent Posts
Instead, they display like this without Recent Posts
I have a Posts Page called News & Information, but the Norfolk Ambulance website doesn’t seem to be using the News & Events page. I don’t understand what I’ve done wrong. I thought I set up both sites identically. Can you help?

I have set up the blog in Customizer and the blog page, but it’s not working. Please look at the pix above. In the first photo, it is returning the Post Page I set up, which is called News & Events, and it shows the Recent Posts on the left.
Look at photo #2, it is returning a page called Posts, and it does not include Recent Posts, nor is it using my Posts Page, which, on this site is called News & Information.
Please tell me what is causing the difference between these two sites, which, I believe, are set up the same way.

If you would like to add a side bar to your blog page and to your posts you will need to go to Appereance Customizer and Select Sidebar Left or Right.

Than on the pages you do not want a side bar, you should click on Edit on your wordpress top admin bar.
Scroll down under the blue button update and you will finde Page Attributes > Page Templates. Choose the template Blank No Container Header Footer in order to not have a sidebar.
