DariyaParticipantHi Team,
I woke up this morning to discover that I cannot login to my site, and what used to be my login screen now looks like a bunch of weird characters (screenshot attached). I don’t have much IT background, but I built my site from scratch and do know how to use FileZilla a bit. Can someone please advise if I can reset my login page through it?
I also contacted my hosting company which has told me that it might be a possible code injection and they are running a malware scan now to see what’s up.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated (I am very stressed out by this whole situation:( )
Thanks so much in advance!

JoaoModeratorHi Darya,
This also looks malware to me
I got one website hacked a week ago, and it was some spammy type of malware.
What I did to ensure to clean everything was to save the image folder file so the image paths stay the same.
And delete everything and re-install again, and than place the image folder in the same place, All the information is stored on the data base and not the files, so I did not lose anything, of course I had some work, I needed to re-install all plugins, but that way I ensured it was 100% clean, it might be possible a simpler solution but you would need to checkout some suggestions on Google there are a few tutorials how to get rid of malware, the choice above simply seemed the most simple to me.
Let us know if you need help with anything else.

DariyaParticipantHi Joao,
Thanks so much, yes I did google this before and will try to do something similar. But currently I cannot login to my site and that’s my issue, I cannot access it. My login page is corrupted.
I have access to FileZilla and of course my hosting panel – can I reset my login link from there somehow? I just need to get in to my site.. π
Thanks so much for any help!

DariyaParticipantHi Friech,
About 30 minutes ago, my hosting company was able to login and disable WPS Hide Login, WP Super Cache and Wordfence Security plugins – one of them or all three of them were hacked apparently. π
It’s a shame though, WP Super Cache was really making my site load faster, like 10 times faster, and the W3 Caching plugin is super slow for my site. But I have to use it for now, I have no choice. π

FriechModeratorHi There,
Did your hosting company confirmed it as a malware, maybe they already did something to get rid of it and clean the infected files. If so, you should be able to install a fresh copy of WP Super Cache.
Thanks.
