cabforwardParticipantHello,
I would like to change the permalink structure from
http://xtheme2.wpengine.com/x-portfolio/caretrader/
to http://xtheme2.wpengine.com/caretrader/
Thus, eliminating the URL slug. If I leave custom URL Slug blank, it us “x-portfolio”
Thank you,

Rue NelModeratorHello There.
Thanks for writing in!
You can assign a custom slug url in your customizer. You may find it in Appearance > Customize > Portfolio > Custom URL Slug. If you don’t assign any, it will automatically use the
x-portfolioin the slug. Removing it completely might not be possible for WordPress to generate content.Hope this helps. Kindly let us know.

cabforwardParticipantI don’t understand. Are you saying that I can’t remove it completely? I had it completely removed on my last wordpress theme.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
You can modify your permalinks by going to Settings > Permalinks in your WordPress dashboard. You might need to have a custom structure like this
/%postname%/and it will make your permalinks to be like this:
Pages:http://yourdomain.com/page-name/
Blog posts:http://yourdomain.com/post-title/
Portfolio posts:http://yourdomain.com/x-portfolio/post-title/We have responded that you can assign a custom slug url in your customizer for the portfolio posts. You may find it in Appearance > Customize > Portfolio > Custom URL Slug. If you don’t assign any, it will automatically use the x-portfolio in the slug.
If you have remove it before, you must have use a custom function that will change the rewrite settings.
Thanks for understanding.
