When I installed X 4.6.1 (latest WP vsn, Cornerstone, http://www.xxxxxxxx ) I had 2 instances of Portfolio on my Dashboard.

I believe one is from my previous theme, as when I deactivate its proprietary “Virtue/Pinnacle Toolkit” plugin, the 2nd instance of Portfolio disappears from Dashboard. BUT: So do all the portfolio items!

I tried re-saving my permalinks to see if that would make the portfolio items suddenly appear in the now-singular Portfolio instance. It did not fix it.

Please advise, how do I migrate all these portfolio items so they’ll appear with the X theme? Where do they go when I uninstall the “Virtue/Pinnacle Toolkit” plugin?

See attached for screenshots of having 2 portfolios, and the plugin discussed.

    Hi there,

Your old portfolio and X portfolio is different post type. So you can’t use your old portfolio items within X portfolio page template. You need to use the first instance to create portfolio items that’s actually X portfolio.

    Hope this makes sense.

    Hi Kris,

We received your refund request and have responded there. I just wanted to add a few notes to this thread that may help resolve the issue here:

    1. With your old theme active, you can use this plugin to make the X Portfolio type available: https://community.theme.co/data-portability/
    2. You can use the Post Type switcher to convert each item to the X Portfolio post type: https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-type-switcher/

This will get your titles and content moved over. Any other custom functionality offered by the previous portfolio wouldn’t transfer over, so you would need to configure any of the X features you wanted such as galleries or videos.
