Why will an image Abc that is used for a featured thumbnail, not be used as an image in the gallery for that portfolio.. is there w way to have the featured image be used in the gallery for that portfolio item? thanks
This also occurs for a news post.. the featured image is not being used in the gallery.

Its simple.. Again..
featured image for a post or portfolio item will not show up in the image gallery for that post/portfolio.
Media type set as gallery
I do not know how else to say it.. If featured content is set to media. things break and do not work right.. the site flows best when featured content is thumbnail.. http://dev.svlimo.com/our-fleet is the portfolio.. each item when featured content is set to media, there is no gallery shown, only a single image and is not clickable. the whole block should be clickable. so I set featured image to thumbnail and chose a nice image. I need the featured image as part of the iamge gallery for that post/portfolio item !!

https://community.theme.co/kb/meta-options-portfolio-items/The media type is only available for the portfolio items. Select which kind of media you want to display for your portfolio. If selecting a “Gallery,” simply upload your images to this post and organize them in the order you want them to display. The featured image will be included in the gallery as well.
