I’d like it to act exactly the same as this example on desktop and mobile. Is this a plugin doing all the work?

Thanks for writing in! The page has been constructed with custom coding. This can be achieved by using 3rd party plugins. You can try out TheGrid or Essential Grid plugins. You can easily install it by going to X Addons > Extensions.
