cgenselParticipantHi,
I have a general question about theme and plugin updates. If this is already covered in the documentation feel free to just direct me to that.
I’m running X with a child theme. I have the auto update enabled so I can just click to update X whenever a new version comes out. I have not had any issues with this. However, I just noticed that a bunch of my plugins have newer versions available (the X theme bundled/supported ones, including Cornerstone). I compared the new version to your version compatibility chart and they are all compatible. So, I updated them.
Are these plugin versions supposed to automatically update with the theme update? I don’t recall having to specifically update the plugins in a separate step previously. Or is this just some lag between X theme updates and plugin updates, where the theme does support the new plugin but hasn’t integrated it into a theme update yet?
Thanks,
Katie

RupokMemberHi Katie,
Thanks for writing in! Certainly you need to update the theme and plugins individually. Whenever an integrated plugin (i.e. Visual Composer, Revolution Slider etc.) release an update, we put it on update server after checkign the compatibility, so that you can get the latest feature of those plugins. Meantime there might be no update yet for the theme on that moment.
Hope this makes sense.

cgenselParticipantHi Rupok,
It does. That’s what I figured was happening. I think in the past I just didn’t check in between theme updates so I didn’t notice the lag. Thanks for the help,
Best,
Katie
