scotthowardParticipantWe have two major issues with your NEW Uber Menu and X theme. Quite frankly, this menu have been a nightmare for us with issues that we can’t track down and make the site look terrible and unstable.
#1 We are getting some weird “GHOST” menu in the top right corner haphazardly for no apparent reason???
See this video
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4H2Um-3oRZzU0duSDlzNTVZTms/view#2 When a user IS NOT LOGGED IN to the site, the Menu changes to Bold and reformats for no reason???
See this video
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4H2Um-3oRZzbGRHdHZSdWJBMWs/viewPlease help us fix these issues. We have spent too many hours with issues trying to format it. We just need it to work without doing strange things. Thanks.
The site is http://www.ubersalon.com

scotthowardParticipantAs a followup to item #2 above. Why does the Uber Menu formatting change when a User is logged in versus not logged in to the website? Sample below shows when User is not logged in vs logged in. This happens on the My Account page ONLY
https://www.ubersalon.com/my-account/
https://www.evernote.com/l/AVzQHWU2wW1Inq4eMsJwl08bESiG12oACUc
Everything back to normal when user logs in.

Why??? Argghhh!!!!

LelyModeratorHi There,
Thank you for the detailed information.
1.) I still can’t duplicate the issue. Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / passwordDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.
2.) Regarding the menu font size, I can see that it is coming from your settings. See attached screenshot. When I disabled font 25px on the browser the menu size returns to normal. It is coming from your UberMenu Custom Menu Styles (Customizer). Although I can’t check why it’s different when you’re login.
Hope this helps.

RadModeratorHi there,
Yes, menu and font’s aren’t working on my end, but works after logging in. Hence, could be related to cache. And I can’t reproduce any of this issue anymore right after clearing the cache.
I temporarily disabled your caching plugin, would you mind testing it again? Make sure to clear your browser cache too, or just use private browsing to ignore caches.
Thanks!

scotthowardParticipantWe are at wits end. Please please help! We need to launch this site and the client is not going to pay if we can’t fix this. As per the video, everytime you click on the account tab the menu formatting changes. This is a really simple site. It uses X Theme and Woo Commerce for all billing, bookings and memberships. We did this to make sure everything integrated together and we would avoid issues like this! There is obviously a bug in the Uber Menu that is causing the formatting to be thrown off when using it with Woo Commerce. We are not developers and just need this to work. Thanks!

If you cant fix this, is there a work around? We obviously cant have the menu reformatting everytime a user clicks in the My Account tab in the Uber Menu. Thanks!

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for the updates! Just for future topics, self responding or bumping your post pushes it back in our Queue system so it takes longer to respond to.
I have checked your site and I figured out the reason why it is being push down to the second menu. You have set the ubermenu width at 1000px only and it looks like the menu exceeds that width. I have change it to 1200 pixels. And I also increase the maximum width of the navbar since you have the global content width to 900 pixels only. I also fixed the cart menu to align it with the rest of the menu items.
Right at this moment, I am seeing your my account page like this:
http://prntscr.com/bvy0z3And one last thing, I have installed a child theme so that I can add a custom function to fix the cart menu in the navbar. Child theme allows you to make code changes that won’t be overwritten when an X update is released.
By the way, I have deactivated WP Hummingbird cache so that I can see the changes right away. I’d recommend that you clear your caching plugin, WP Hummingbird, first and even disable it during development. This can cause changes or updates to not take place on the front end. It will eventually show up when the cache regenerates, but it’s not ideal if you’re looking to see your changes immediately. Caching plugins are best to turn on only when you’ve finished building the site.
Hope this helps.

scotthowardParticipantWow! The site looks fantastic. Great tech support. Can we use the same child theme to make other necessary adjustments? Can you recommend some training resources for us to attend to learn more about creating and managing child themes? Also, thanks for the cache reco. Really great info! Wow!!!
Once again, the site looks super thanks to X! Of course I would like to understand the Child Theme and how you did it so we can do the same here in the future. We are now moving forward with more licenses for X as we will be standardizing on this for all our clients (where possible) Please keep developing new templates! We will be using your Agency template theme next! Would love to see a Membership/Video training template integrating Woo Commerce Subscriptions, Woo Memberships and Woo Sensei with X. Love it!
Lastly, thanks for letting me know about the issue with self responding or bumping my posts. Very helpful for future communications. Have a great weekend!

josimatParticipantHi there,
My menu is in complete shambles and to be honest i dont need a complicated menu. I just need home, contact and services menu items. For some reason when i try to customize the ubermenu i have other menu items appearing that i do not need. I have no idea where these are coming from. I would like to get rid of these menu items but i cannot figure out how.
Please help me figure out how to fix this issue. It will be very much appreciated.
Thank you.November 3, 2016 at 5:03 pm #1242965
RadModeratorHi there,
Under Admin > Appearance > Customizer, you have to disable bbPress > Navbar Menu and Header > Search > Navbar Search.
That should do it, then add your services at Admin > Appearance > Menus
Cheers!
