In demo, I could see that theme x has lightbox view inbuilt but its not functioning anyhow in my demo website which I am working upon. I wish to know where I am wrong and what needs to be done to enable the same.

The images when clicked, opens in new tab as just an image file.

    Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! To enable the lightbox feature in WooCommerce, please go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Display and enable the light in “Product Image Gallery”.

For more additional information, please check out the documentation here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/organise-your-content-product-images/

    Hope this helps.

But there is no such option to enable the same. Please check the screenshot of the settings page:
