makersbootcampParticipantHello there,
I’ve followed your article on performance to the tee but find that caching and gzipping do not work or only work partially. Please see my current page results here: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/makersboot.camp/SvZpXKua
Please could you advise on how to fix this.
In case you need to look at the install I will create a profile for your support and post it in the next message. Please feel free to turn caching off if necessary.

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Please check the box ‘Minify’ under w3 total cache settings and set ‘Minify mode’ to auto.
To compare your settings, check this link : https://community.theme.co/kb/performance/
Hope it helps.

makersbootcampParticipantI’ve tried that setting with Auto, it messes up the whole website’s design. Beyond that I’ve also tried it on manual mode, attempting to exclude the CSS and JS files that seem to not work. Still could not get it to work.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
After making any changes to the settings, you must always clear the W3 Total Cache plugin cache first before testing your site so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
And by the way, X 4.6.2 and Cornerstone 1.3.2 are now available! This release contains several bug fixes and we’re quite excited about the new features, so be sure to check out the changelog. Please do update to the latest version.
Please let us know how it goes.
