I’ve just setup a staging site, and am running into issues with the product validation. I followed the guide and added the correct URL as a development site, but am wondering whether the staging site being password protected could cause me to see the error “This site URL is not a match for your API key.”?

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! To properly validate your site and the staging site, please do the following:
1] Please login to your account and assign the license. You need to assign the license to your site using this url: https://www.example.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
2] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license again.

And please review the changes that we made on how you are going to validated your X theme because we made a big change in the process. Please check it out here: https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/

To assist you better with this issue, would you mind providing us the url of your site with login credentials so we can take a closer look? This is to ensure that we can provide you with a tailored answer to your situation. Once you have provided us with your URL, we will be happy to assist you with everything.

To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site

– WordPress Admin username / password

Hello There,

Thanks for the updates! It turns out that your several versions way behind. At the moment you have 4.1.1 and the latest is 4.6.2. I would recommend that you manually update X theme and make sure that you are fully updated (Theme and Plugins).

Our latest versions are:
X Theme: 4.6.2
Cornerstone: 1.3.2
Visual Composer: 4.12.1

You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.
