    Hello,

    I know next to nothing about this stuff… Ive just managed to install X Version: 4.5.2, and it has installed successfully (i can see it in my appearance themes). Then i’ve been told to install a child version.. when i try and install this it says:

    “Installing Theme from uploaded file: x-child.zip
    Unpacking the package…
    Installing the theme…
    This theme requires a parent theme. Checking if it is installed…
    The parent theme could not be found. You will need to install the parent theme, x, before you can use this child theme.
    Theme installed successfully.”

    ?! I have installed the parent them and can see it (even though it says ‘The parent theme could not be found’), and the child theme is nowhere to be seen but it says ‘Theme installed successfully’. ?! any ideas please? thanks

    Hi There,

    Thanks for the credentials, but the zoedesigns1 does not work. The parent theme’s style.css file should be accessible with this directory:

    http://zoelongridge.com/wp-content/themes/x/style.css

    But its not, so most probable your x|theme folder was not extracted directly on http://zoelongridge.com/wp-content/themes/. (We need FTP credentials to confirm this, but most likely this is the case.

    When you install the parent X|Theme, did you upload just the x.zip and not the whole themeforest-xxxxx-x-the-theme.zip file? It should not be since that file is a package, you need to extract that file first on your local machine. And upload just the x.zip file on your site.

    If you need assistance on this, please provide us FTP credentials in private reply and we’ll be happy to help you.

    Yes, please remove the other one through FTP. The correct one has folder name of /x/.
