alex_vinacuaParticipantGreetings,
When we search for a product on the site, it works but we cannot browse to next page, as it shows a 404.
Please check for example:
http://www.centroortopedicoalmirall.com/en/?s=wheelchair&post_type=productand then try to go to next page.
As well, we have strange urls created if we change language, so there must be something we are not setting in the right way…
Please check and tell us something if possible.
Thanks!
Best regards,

RupokMemberHi there,
Are you using any custom function to your Child Theme? Let’s try switching to X from Child Theme and check again. Let us know if that’s still the same.
Thanks!

alex_vinacuaParticipantGreetings,
We are using a child theme as suggested. We also switched to X theme with no changes on the paging issue.
Can you tell us something more or suggest an article to look for a solution? The fact is that we are not able to go on with the site (we have to put it online in place of the old one ASAP) because paging issue is a major issue, frustrating for users…
Hope you can help us a little more.
Thanks!

ChristianModeratorHey Alex,
This has something to do with your permalinks setup. Something modifies your permalinks. It could be a plugin. Please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Thanks.

alex_vinacuaParticipantGreetings,
We have deactivated all plugins except woo commerce (which is the 95% of the site) and paging after searching still not working. There MUST be something else.
Please take a deeper look inside, you can deactivate whatever you want on the site (just tell us after). The old site is the one the public visits, and this one is in stand-by due to the problems on this function.
Please tell us something ASAP.
Thanks!

ChristianModeratorI deactivated all third party plugins except Cornerstone and WooCommerce to rule out plugin conflict. Turns out the problem is with your Product category base setting. I removed
categoria-productoand now page 2 works. If you want to change the category base, please contact a third party developer to set it up for you.Thanks.

alex_vinacuaParticipantIt’s a pity really. We are developers, and we have implemented hundreds of WordPress pages, but never found this kind of issues before. We are having troubles with this theme we never saw before… And I’m not sure what you did, but page is not running now, and we have to restore the site…
Anyway, we’ll try to use settings you explain, as I would not like to have to develop the whole page in a new theme to solve the issues.
I’ll let you know if this ends fine or not.
Thanks

alex_vinacuaParticipantI’m not sure how you did it. Now I understand how you made it work (the paging in woo commerce) but the pity is the we KNEW that. Disalowing the friendly urls, it worked. But with friendly URLS (which we wanted to solve) it did not.
Now we have the page destroyed. I’m not sure how much we’ll have to work on it to turn to the previos situation (before you touched it, with paging on searches not running, but looking fine and all the rest running perfectly….)
Maybe we’ll have to install again a backup to simplify work. I never saw such a kind of support. I mean, not solving anything (we can’t understand why your theme does not work were most of the WordPress products work fine), and leaving the page after passing there completely detroyed.
To understand what I mean, you can see the original page (the one online which we wanted to replace with the new one, same design, better functions) and the now one after you “worked” there:
http://www.ortopedia-almirall.com (the old one, reference)
http://www.centroortopedicoalmirall.com (the new one, after Atila worked there not solving anything)I’m still trying to assume what did you do, or what happened…

RadModeratorHi there,
I think it was just changing Product category base under Admin > Settings > Permalinks > Optional. Which categoria-producto was added before. Slug should contain’s a placeholder string and not static string.
And by checking this http://www.centroortopedicoalmirall.com/, it’s because the visual composer is inactive. I checked it and the only active plugins are cornerstone and woocommerce. Please enable the plugins that are supposed to be active.
Thanks!
