Dear X-Team,

I´m a big fan of your theme and I´m using it for a while with different websites. Now on my business website https://www.bitman.at – IT Company Vienna, I´m trying to speed it up, like in PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix to achieve better results for SEO. I´m already using CloudFlare and MaxCDN with W3 Total Cache plugin and Autoptimize plugins installed. With my best settings I get on mobile: 78/100 and on desktop: 92/100. It´s not bad, but I think there is some potential left with the mighty X.
Could you please help me out with some advices, settings in Theme or used Plugins for better results?

Thanks for posting in.

1. Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content

Your optimization plugin should handle it, example https://www.bitman.at/wp-content/cache/autoptimize/js/autoptimize_93d8e9366a6cd483f535c73ba5984320.js

Though, I’m not really sure how it can be done with that plugin, you may try contacting the plugin author.

2. Prioritize visible content – https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/PrioritizeVisibleContent

You should limit your page content, the important information should be displayed on the first fold (eg. removing the slider to display body content upon load). But design is no use if you’ll follow this

3. Reduce server response time

The 0.7 response time isn’t bad, but if you can reduce it and you may try it.

4. Leverage browser caching

You can’t do anything with this, these files are hosted from google

And they are the one that should apply the leverage browser caching

Hi Rad,

thank you for your reply. We are going to take care about some small details, but I think that should be it with page speed for now.
We have to focus on content and online marketing now, espacially local seo.

A good advice for other users with similar speed problems is to make sure to double check caching settings and cdn config.
