ylplParticipantHi there,
I was curious if X Theme had the capability to put a full-width slider just below the menu. Below that I would then continue with how I have it set right now: Content Left, Sidebar Right.
My URL is: http://dev.ylpl.net/wordpress/
Not sure if this matters but I am also running a Child’s Theme (which I understand adds extra functionality) and have Layerslider installed.
Thank you,
Daniel

JadeModeratorHI Daniel,
I would suggest to use Revolution Slider and then set the slider as a Fullscreen slider then edit the homepage and set the slider in Slider Settings: Below Masthead.
Hope this helps.

ylplParticipantSo I was actually able to set up LayerSlider fullscreen and set it for below masthead as well. However, when I do that, there is absolutely no margin between the menu and slider. Is there a way to fix that? Therefore I have that slider setting disabled at the moment. Also, what are the benefits of using Revolution Slider instead? I only ask because I am not a fan of their interface and set up.
Thank you again,
Daniel

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Please enable slider on a test page and provide us with its URL.
Thanks.

ylplParticipantOf course. I created a slider test page located at: http://dev.ylpl.net/wordpress/slider-test-page/
The only reason why there’s a gap between the slider and menu on that page is due to the breadcrumbs but on the home page (where there are no breadcrumbs) there is absolutely no margin between the two. If there’s no way to implement margins on the slider, would there be a way to incorporate a home breadcrumb on the home page? I’m open to either option.
Thank you so much again,
Daniel

RupokMemberHi Daniel,
Perhaps you disabled the slider on homepage. Let’s enable it again and add this under Custom > CSS in the Customizer to create some spacing above the slider.
.home .x-slider-container { margin-top: 20px; }Cheers!

ylplParticipantAwesome! That did the trick. Thank you so much!
