sunshipParticipantHello,
I’ve been testing the speed of my site http://kiermyer.com using https://gtmetrix.com nd I am stumped by this:
Serve resources from a consistent URL
F (0)
CONTENT HIGH
What’s this mean?
The following resources have identical contents, but are served from different URLs. Serve these resources from a consistent URL to save 1 request(s) and 104.6KiB.http://kiermyer.com/wp-content/plugins/revslider/public/assets/js/jquery.themepunch.tools.min.js
http://kiermyer.com/wp-content/plugins/revslider/public/assets/js/jquery.themepunch.tools.min.js?rev=5.2.6
The following resources have identical contents, but are served from different URLs. Serve these resources from a consistent URL to save 1 request(s) and 55.1KiB.http://kiermyer.com/wp-content/plugins/revslider/public/assets/js/jquery.themepunch.revolution.min.js
http://kiermyer.com/wp-content/plugins/revslider/public/assets/js/jquery.themepunch.revolution.min.js?rev=5.2.6Any idea how I can fix this?
Thank you!

LelyModeratorHi There,
Please try the suggestion here:http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/pagespeed-serve-resources-from-a-consistent-url/
Hope this helps.

sunshipParticipantI am using cacheing, but Since I am not using layer slider, and the link you’ve provided does not mention anything elsw, this is not helpful.

RupokMemberHi there,
That was for Layerslider but the idea is pretty same. However I am clarifying a bit more. Let’s head over to Revolution Slider and click on “Global Settings” – http://prntscr.com/cvv5kk
Then check the settings to make sure it’s not loading twice – http://prntscr.com/cvv5ts
Hope this makes sense.
Cheers!

sunshipParticipantThe settings are just ow you have it in this picture Rupak.
Perhaps there’s another answer for why these are loading twice???
Must be huh?
From this, it looks like theres 2 versons of rev slider competing ??? Serve resources from a consistent URL

RupokMemberHi there,
This is certainly not usual. It’s coming from the same version of Revolution slider and one instance is loading on header and other is before content. As your settings seems right, it should not not twice. Kindly remove Revolution Slider completely and install again. Let’s see if that fix the issue. If not, you can share your login credetnials in a private reply so that we can have a look.
Thanks for your patience.

sunshipParticipantThank you. If I remove revolution slider, I understand I will lose wthe sliders we’ve created. Right? I cannot afford to lose all the work put into these sliders.
Please see if there is a work-around.

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for the credentials. If you remove the plugin, the sliders you have created still will be on the database. So when you install again, it will be shown again. However I have tried to remove Revolution Slider from your site but the site was still showing the Slider and the script was loading. So I guess it’s causing by the caching plugin you are using. Let’s disable them, purge the cache and try again.
Cheers!

sunshipParticipantThanks,
I have made a staging copy: http://staging2.kiermyer.com/
I have purged the caches on the cloudflare sit – turned it off – purged the cloudflare plugin cache – turned it off – purged the wpfc cache. deleted slider revolution. I have tested a bunch of times on GT and still get this:

RupokMemberHi there,
This is weird and not sure what’s actually adding them twice. I have tested on my setup and the Revolution Slider script is loading once in my test site. So the issue is not usual with X or Revolution Slider rather something related to your setup.
Would you provide the credentials for the staging site? It would be safe to go deeper on the staging site. Also make sure you don’t have any caching or performance plugin installed there. Thanks!
