Hello one of my sites using one page navigation and ethos is crashing on mobile view. The site relies heavily on streamed content from third party sites like Soundcloud, but does load without issue on desktop. Mobile is the only issue and the page just repeatedly loads and then crashes. It was loading fine in mobile before the last theme update so I’m not sure if that is the cause.

Can you please have a look and help me get this figured out. I will post credentials in a separate private post.

Thanks for writing in! I’ve checked your site on mobile devices and seems to be working fine on my end. Did you clear the cache of your mobile device after updating the site. Hello yes I cleared cache and tried loading on several different phones. Same thing happens. Site continues to reload automatically in both Safari and Chrome mobile browsers and eventually crashes. Are you trying on a real phone or a mobile simulator?

It’s fine on Chrome (both in Desktop and Mobile) but a bit sluggish on Firefox on my end. Clearly it’s related with Soundlcoud embed so something wrong there I guess.

Ok thanks! So what is the proper way to embed Soundcloud using X? I am using the “embedded Audio” block from Cornerstone to add the Soundcloud iFrame embeds because they don’t work in the “Code Snippet” or “Raw Content” Blocks. FYI I have also used the WordPress specific code for example: [soundcloud] and it doesn’t work in any blocks but “embedded Audio”. I have also tried the [embed] shortcode option as discussed in various xtheme forum posts, also does not work.

Hi there,

Another support here and checked it, but I can’t reproduce the crashing on my end. Yes, using the Audio embed is correct since it’s Sound Cloud Embed. Sound cloud is within an iframe, hence, we can’t control how it should perform.

I also tried on mobile and it’s not crashing, though, flash player is blocked.

Would you mind providing the specs and browser you’re testing it on mobile?
