Hi,
i have a one page menue set up using
ids like #x-section-5

We put the “disclaimer” link in the footer, linking to a different page.

Since the one page navigaton was not working
(it had http://www.xx.com/disclaimer/#x-section-5)
I set the menue links to http://www.xx.com/#x-section-5.

This actually works quite well,
EXCEPT 🙂

Now every navigation point on the one pager got the “hoover” effect on all the time.
– meaning the blue lines below navi, which normaly only show when hoover over menue point are there all the time.

On the “disclaimer” page the hoover in navi is still working as intendet.

Guess it is not so smart to use http://www.xx.com/#x-section-5 ..
What can i do?

THX for the in depth help,
i read about the 2 menues before, just didn´t get it.

One additional question:
One-page navi:
Now it seems that “Contact” is always active(bold).
Hoovering over other nav points works,
but up on clicking the clicked nav point doesn´t appear active(bold).
But Contact always is active (bold)

Hi there,

Upon checking your site, I noticed you added default IDs to sections. x-section-n IDs generate automatically and you don’t need to add this as custom ID, so please remove the IDs or add custom ID like about-us.

If you add custom ID, you should update menu item URL as well.

Hi,
I added custom ids like “about” andso on,
adjusted both menues.

Result is the same

Contact is alsways active in the one pager menue.
Fun fakt : when i mispell the id “#contact” in the menue area,
“about us” is permanently active.

Please remove custom JS from customizer, clear cache and test again.

Hi,
i erased the js code

Contact is still always active.

I will sooner or later have to put the code back in ,
the code solved the scroll down problem on mobile devices..

I’ve disabled the your Energetic menu as Primary menu and the highlight disappeared. This brings me to conclude that your Energetic menu setup is affecting your One Page as they both use fragment identifiers. Please try deleting your Energetic menu. Also, please disable all third party plugins and customizations while we investigate.

when i disable everything it seems to work
(except the scroll down position in mobile)

i´ll try to nerrow it down by implementing code and stuff bit by bit again

I had to deactivate the plugin, it caused problems ..
that is why i used this link to get the typo working ..
I still need that typo tho 😉

Oh i think
i got it to work

Left the code part out,
and reinstalled all other stuff ..

Seems to work as inteded ..
I think that code was a leftover from when i initially tried to get the typo running.. ..
