    What is best practice in order to combine one page menu item (specially for target items on home page) and standard menu items (for other site pages)?

    Hi Danielle,

    Thanks for posting in.

    One page menu should contain relative hash IDs, example, href="#x-section-1". While standard menu should contain absolute hash IDs, example, href="http://example.com/#x-section-1"

    Then one page menu should be assigned to your home page, then the standard menu should be assigned as Primary Menu.

    So best practice requires that I should create TWO different Menu?

    Just another curiosity:
    First time I’ve selected One-page menu for my homepage, I realized that in the menu section (Appearance -> Menu) appeared a second Home page among the items to be selected to include into the menu items:

    1. ‘Home: my title homepage’
    2. ‘my title homepage

    Could you explain me why?

    Hey Daniele,

    Menu items could be added manually or by a script. I’m not sure how it got there but you could remove it. If I’m not understanding you correctly, please provide screenshots or access to your WordPress admin.

    “Il Sentiero degli Gnomi – Bagno di Romagna- Sito ufficiale”

    First time I’ve selected One-page menu for my homepage, I realized that in the menu section (Appearance -> Menu) appeared a second Home page among the items to be selected to include into the menu items:

    1. “Home: Il Sentiero degli Gnomi – Bagno di Romagna- Sito ufficiale”

    Hi Daniele,

    I checked and It’s not happening on my test sites.

    You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
