revdloParticipantI am using a fresh install of WordPress and X Theme.
In themeco’s knowledge base on demo content I find the below instructions. However when I go to import the demo Icon 8 (Standard) there is no such option to select sample posts for a blog or portfolio items as indicated in the help section quoted below. What am I missing?

“Standard
The Standard demo content importer is based off of our original demos, and allows users to setup their site similar to the specified source. This importer will setup the structural layout from the homepage of the demo selected with placeholder content, and will also update your Customizer settings as mentioned above. Additionally, you can choose to import example posts or portfolio items to see how various features can be utilized. If you select to import posts, a blog will be setup for you, and importing portfolio items will similarly setup a portfolio page for you.

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in! Standard Demos include placeholder content for the home page along with example posts. Expanded Demos include everything you see in the demo—all content, graphics, widgets, sliders, settings, and more.
Hope that helps.

I’m still confused about the above directions for the standard demos. Where can I select the option for the demo to set up the blog? All I get is the front page. But the instructions seem to say that I can select for more functionality to be built in. (And I know when I first used this demo last winter, it had a LOT more built in functionality.) None of the expanded demos have the look of Icon 8 or I would use one of them.

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
Sorry for the confusion. There is no special options to select. However, by default it will import sample posts and setup your blog.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Sorry for the confusions. The post and portfolio items were removed in the latest X version. At the moment, when you import a standard demo content, only the customizer settings and the homepage will be imported. We have taken a bold move in removing the demo content posts/portfolio items because as soon as you have set them, and once you are finally satisfied with your settings, you’ll end up deleting those sample posts/portfolio items one by one. our developers is looking for ways that you can easily install the demo posts and at the same time, you can also have a one click delete demo posts button. This has not been realize yet though.
Hope this explains it.
