Brad JParticipantHello,
I’ve inherited a site running x 2.1.0 that has been modified by a previous developer without using a child theme. I need a copy of this version to locate the edits and apply them to my child theme for the latest version.
Thanks

John EzraMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! Unfortunately, we don’t have earlier versions of X for download. Also there have been major changes since that version. If the theme was heavily customized then there will be a lot of things that need to be updated. If the dev did not use a child-theme it’s possible that their edits didn’t require changing PHP files. X is a bit dynamic and the way our stacks and folders are setup, devs usually ask for assistance on how things work, and then we’d always instruct users to use a child theme before making any template changes.
You can try passing us the URL so we can see if there is anything obvious. The best direction to take is setup a dev and live site. You can validate both URLs under on license via the manage licenses page here on Theme.co.
Since you will need to update the site anyways since it’s such a big Jump, it would be good to just compare the two and go from there.
That would be our suggestion at this point. Let us know how that goes. Hope this helps – thanks!
