I just installed the Olark plugin. It’s requesting that I enter my Olark site ID from my Olark account. Is there a way to sign up for an account without paying additional money?

Unfortunately, there is no free plan: https://www.olark.com/pricing.

You can try with this plugin instead: https://wordpress.org/plugins/zopim-live-chat/.
