    Hi There,

I am not able to add plugins to my website via ftp because of security reasons. I have added the Cornerstone plugin manually and have since added a plugin that allows me to upload plugins via sftp. I can’t access the extensions from the control panel though. I get a message that reads Your WordPress file permissions do not allow plugins to be installed. Has anyone else run into this error. Is there a way to install the plugins manually or can I install them via the plugin add new option?

    Thanks,
    Becky Zingler

    Hi Becky,

Are you trying to install a bundled plugin of X? If so, you can do it in Dashboard > Addons.

If you are still having troubles with the permission, kindly check here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions

    Hope this helps.
