Okay, so I’m working my way around my first X install, and I’m already puzzled about something in the Agency demo that I’ve installed. The Home page for the demo plainly has a slider. However, when I go to that page’s settings, both “Slider Settings: Above Masthead” and “Slider Settings: Below Masthead” are marked as “Deactivated.” Going into Cornerstone, it appears that the Slider Revolution is placed inside a “row.”

So, what’s the difference between inserting sliders on the Page, above or below the masthead, and the technique that’s been used for this demo?

    Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! You can use both place to assign slider. There is not much difference. The only difference is, if you want the slider above the header menu then the only way is – to assign on “Above Masthead”. For below masthead, you can either set it “Below Masthead” or the content area.

    Hope this makes sense.

Okay, so basically I can put a slider almost anywhere I want by using the content (like putting it in a Row the way it is on this demo site), but to get it above the header, I have only one choice, which is the “Above Masthead” option. Right.

    Yes, that is correct.

But in most cases when user want to place an slider below the main menu, they setup it as “Featured Slider Below Masthead” instead of a content.

Please feel free to get in touch with us regarding any further queries about the X|Theme and Cornerstone.

    Cheers!
