Hi,
To most of you, this is probably a really simple question but I have no knowledge of coding/JavaScript/etc.
We purchased W-Theme and are using Integrity 1 as our website. We currently have a simple WP site that we are wishing to upgrade, hence the move to Xtheme.

I am trying to understand how the portfolio works – is it a precursor to the services we would offer or something else.
I am trying to add our blogs up and am finding it confusing to know where they go. I also want to put a page for our services that we offer and the person that originally tried to help us created a portfolio page. I have no problem with that as long as I how to add things and get links to our contact page.

I have attached a screenshot of the page I am working on.

Hi Christian,

Firstly apologies for being slow on the uptake – I am a novice and this is my first ‘stand alone’ creating a website with X-Theme.

I have read the portfolio link you sent me a number of times – I can see how things are added in and images connected to the page.

I would like to know how to use the right editor – you suggest cornerstone in your blurb but I find that when I use cornerstone it says this wasn’t created with cornerstone the info will be lost continue or something like that. I want to be able to link the service page which will have the images and content to hook the reader to then get them to click the ‘open now’ button which will take them to the blog page OR further info page etc. depending on the service.

I have read the Q&A section by typing in Portfolio help or how to use portfolio but I don’t seen to find the relative answers I am looking for.

As I said I am not a web designer this is a first-time upgrade from the simple WordPress we had made for us but could access the dashboard.

If you could be a bit more helpful in
a) where to look for linking pages.
b) how to edit correctly – cornerstone or visual or just edit
or anything else that I should need to know it would be appreciated.

To know how you can set up a portfolio page, assuming you already have added portfolio items, please check this: https://community.theme.co/kb/portfolios/

And if you want to know more about the portfolio items like adding the link to the button or the “Project Link”, you can check it here: https://community.theme.co/kb/meta-options-portfolio-items/

To edit the portfolio item, you can use the default WP editor, or even use Cornerstone or Visual Composer. Please keep in mind that by default, when you edit a page originally create with the default WP editor in Cornerstone, all of its contents will be discarded and will be replaced with Cornerstone data and it’s contents. Please also keep in mind that you cannot change the layout of the portfolio item page even when using Cornerstone or Visual Composer. The content area will always be at the left and the right will have its sidebar.
