I created a new page and I want to have blog posts featured in this page similar to the way I feature posts in The Journal. I am creating a new post and it goes to The Journal, not The Kitchen. As a quick fix I created the content in the The Kitchen page. Now my feature with another food blogger is not linking properly because the link is this now, which isn’t even the write link because it needs to be a post not a page.

In Journal page you have used ‘recent posts’ element.
In the other page you should add ‘recent posts’ element if you’re looking for the same layout.

I fixed the permalink issue. I will add the shortcode for recent posts. My main concern is that when I select add new post even while on The Kitchen page it automatically posts to The Journal page and not The Kitchen page.

On this page I can see recent posts from The Journal page. I want to add posts to The Kitchen page and see them as Recent Posts. I could not figure out how to do this so I just added the BBQ feature to the actual page. I want this set up like a food blog.
The Recent Posts are showing up in the About page too but not on the The Shop or The Program page. I do not want it on the About Page. I just need to understand how to control when it shows up and when it doesn’t and if I can even have two blog-style pages that work independently showing the correct Recent Posts. I should be able to post on either the The Journal or The Kitchen.
I was able to choose the fullscreen format and get rid of the recent posts on pages where I no longer want it. Since the Recent Posts from The Journal were showing up on The Kitchen page I changed the page to fullscreen. Now I lost the Recent Posts on the The Journal page and I can figure out how to get it back. I tried adding the short code but it is not working. I am SO frustrated at this point.
I can’t figure out (meant to type) how to get the Recent Posts back on the Journal or make it work correctly on The Kitchen page because as I mentioned before when I added the shortcode on The Kitchen page it pulled the Recent Posts from The Journal page.
I apologize for all the replies. I am trying to fix this. I fixed the Recent Posts issue on The Journal page. Now I want to add it to The Kitchen page. Again, the issue I have is that when I add a Recent Posts short code it adds the posts from The Journal page. I wonder if I add a short code that lists Recent Posts by category and categorize The Kitchen posts by a Food category if this will work?
This is getting very frustrating. I have one option to add a new post and they all go to The Journal. How do I have all posts categorized as Food go to The Kitchen page? This is not clear.
I am going to have the same issue with The Show page as I am getting ready to do posts for the show epidsodes. I’ve got to resolve this ASAP.

Create to categories, one for kitchen and one for journal posts. Assign posts to right category.
You can select which category to display in specific recent posts element, see the attachment.Hope it helps.
I did exactly this:
I created a new post and assigned it to the THE KITCHEN category.
I went into THE KITCHEN page and added a Recent Posts section and designated THE KITCHEN as the post category.
The new posts shows up in both THE KITCHEN page and THE JOURNAL page.I am so frustrated right now as I am wasting way too much time trying to resolve this. I need to get my podcast up and I need this working properly. Please escalate this.
