Chris StovallParticipantThe site is backed up, Have at it.
I ran the plugin and it said there were 10 items in posts that it could update, which is weird because yesterday there were zero. They keep coming back.
So I can the replace, and it did NOTHING to the cornerstone data at all. All of the images on the customs page are still missing.
The other 3 sites that had the problem I had to replace all of the images in cornerstone again. So this is a pretty big issue if no one can move a site from live to dev and back to live without having to manually replace all images.
Can you please confirm why the cornerstone data is not being updated?
You can see that the old URL is still in the backend. I’ve tried every site moving plugin, search and replace as well as MySQL scripts and the old URL keeps coming back. It HAS to be hard coded in the Cornerstone data.
How do I deal with this?

Chris StovallParticipantHere’s a video of what the front end page looks like and what cornerstone looks like. The URL is correct on the front end. Wherever cornerstone is storing data is not accessible by MySQL. I’ve even searched in the DB in PHPMyAdmin and the old URL is not present. So where is cornerstone storing that data??

So you can see that between this issue and the other issue I’ve documented in this thread, the cornerstone interface is almost not usable. I can’t see the images that are being shown on the frontend just fine and I can’t really do anything with spacing as there are ghost images all over the page.

Please help me out here. I use X theme for all 28 sites I’ve built and host and as you can imagine a small hiccup like this can cause me a lot of time.

RadModeratorHi there,
It should be okay now
http://rootblade.com/customs/?cornerstone=1
I run the Better Search Replace plugin and found more, then I replaced them. Then I installed Transient Cleaners (for internal caches) and found 202 records and cleared it too.
Thanks!

Chris StovallParticipantCan you please tell me what you did for the search and replace? As you can see from my screenshots above, there were only 10 items that needed updating and after it ran there were still issues that it didn’t fix. I would like to please know what you did differently. This is an ongoing issue for me on several sites.
Can you please also tell me what settings you used in Transient Cleaner?
Thanks in advance and for your help!

RadModeratorHi there,
I replaced the root domain with another root domain to narrow it. Example,
faultydomain.com:8888replaced bygooddomain.comInstead of this
http://faultydomain.com:8888replaced byhttp://gooddomain.comThough, it should work either way. I’m not sure why it’s not working when you tried.
And for the transient cleaner, I toggled the last option ( Remove all transients ) and hit save.
Thanks!

Chris StovallParticipantOkay. I’ll be moving many more sites in the next week. Please leave this thread open and I’ll try again with another site and report back.
Thanks!

Chris StovallParticipantSo this worked great. I only the above method with the 2 plugins and there were zero issues. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me through that!
PS. Please get me back on the beta testing team…
Forever grateful!
